How browser storage is used

Cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage let the service keep a secure session, preserve a cart or active order, and remember choices requested by the user.

PROMTIS does not currently activate analytics or marketing storage. If that changes, those technologies will remain disabled until the relevant consent is given.

The inventory groups related keys that serve the same purpose. Placeholders in braces represent venue-specific values.

Privacy choices

Necessary

Stores the selected consent categories and policy version so the banner does not reappear unnecessarily.

Storage: localStorage

Keys: promtis:cookie-consent

Retention: Until the policy version changes or the browser storage is cleared

Authentication and secure access

Necessary

Keeps an authenticated session, refreshes access securely and returns the user to the requested protected page.

Storage: localStorage, sessionStorage

Keys: jwtToken, refreshToken, promtis:auth:storage-mode, returnUrl

Retention: For the active session or until sign-out, depending on the selected sign-in mode

Cart and active orders

Necessary

Preserves the current venue cart, table context and orders the guest is tracking.

Storage: localStorage, sessionStorage

Keys: cart:{place}, publicOrder:{place}:*, tableInfo:{place}:*

Retention: Until the cart or tracked order is cleared from this device

Workspace continuity

Necessary

Keeps temporary report filters, setup progress and installed-app preferences needed for efficient operation.

Storage: localStorage, sessionStorage

Keys: promtis:admin-view:*, kitchen-setup-completed-*, promtis:pwa:*

Retention: For the browser session or until the related workspace preference is reset

Language and display preferences

Preferences

Remembers the language, landing appearance and AI translation preferences when optional preferences are allowed.

Storage: cookie, localStorage

Keys: NEXT_LOCALE, user_locale, interface_language, public_place_language:{place}, ai_translation_enabled, ai_translations, promtis:landing-theme, promtis:last-login-email

Retention: Until consent is withdrawn or the browser storage is cleared
